Music Ministry

The Music Ministry of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina plays a vital role in leading worship and inspiring the congregation through powerful gospel music and praise. Through heartfelt singing, spirit-filled worship, and musical excellence, our choirs help create an atmosphere where believers can encounter God and celebrate their faith.

Music has always been a cornerstone of the African American church tradition, and at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, our ministry continues that legacy by using music to uplift, encourage, and proclaim the message of the Gospel. Each choir and worship team represents a different generation of believers, united by one purpose—to glorify God through song.

Praise Team

The Macedonia Praise Team leads the congregation in vibrant worship during weekly services. Through contemporary gospel music and praise songs, the team helps guide the church into a spirit of joyful worship and participation. Their ministry sets the tone for the service and prepares hearts to receive the Word of God.

Combined Choir

The Combined Choir brings together voices from across the church to create a rich and powerful choral sound. This choir often ministers during special worship services and celebrations, representing the unity and strength of the Macedonia church family.

Youth Choir

The Youth Choir provides an opportunity for young people to grow in their faith while developing their musical gifts. Through singing and fellowship, youth learn the importance of worship, teamwork, and using their talents for the glory of God.

Sunshine Band

The Sunshine Band introduces our youngest children to the joy of praising God through music. This ministry helps children begin their spiritual and musical journey early while building confidence and a love for worship.

Women’s Choir

The Women’s Choir shares uplifting and powerful gospel music that reflects the faith, strength, and dedication of the women of Macedonia. Their ministry encourages the congregation and demonstrates the beauty of worship through song.

T. L. Male Chorus
